Congratulations to our Year 5 students who performed in the South East Primary Schools’ Music Festival on Thursday night at the Sir Robert Helpmann Theatre. This annual event, which began in 1988, brings together 500 primary school students from 30 schools across the Limestone Coast to showcase their musical talents, accompanied by a live orchestra.

Pictured here at rehearsals, our students have been working hard throughout the year, and it truly showed on stage Thursday. A special shout-out to our amazing soloists, Ava and Ben!

Holiday Fun at SMOSHC

While school is out, the fun continues at St Martins Out of School Hours Care (SMOSHC). Today, participants enjoyed some sunshine while flying glider planes as part of a range of holiday activities.

SMOSHC is an on-site service that provides after-school and vacation care to the students and families of St Martins, offering a fun, child-centred program for students from Reception to Year 7.

Reception Abstract Sculpture Show

On Wednesday 25 September, we welcomed parents and caregivers to an Abstract Sculpture Show hosted by our talented Reception students in classes RB and RS!

Throughout the term, our young artists have been exploring abstract art. Inspired by famous artists, they created their very own masterpieces, with each student’s work accompanied by an artist’s profile.

It was a joy to see the students beam with excitement as they shared their hard work with loved ones while enjoying the light refreshments of cordial, cheese, and crackers.

Year 6 Musical Shakespeare Rocks

This week has been an exciting one for our Year 6 students as they took to the stage for ‘Shakespeare Rocks!’ After two incredible matinee performances, the final show is set for tonight at the Sir Robert Helpmann Theatre.

A huge congratulations to our students and their teachers for their hard work and dedication over the last 8 months – it has truly paid off!

RGB Open Morning

On Tuesday 17 September, our mid-year intake Reception class, RGB, hosted a fantastic open morning! The students were thrilled to invite a special guest along to see their classroom and what they’ve been working on. Activity stations were set up around the room for students and their visitor to complete together.

Choirs Perform at Wehl Street Theatre

Congratulations to our Junior, Festival, Jazz and Senior Choirs who delivered outstanding performances on Tuesday night at the Wehl St Theatre!

The night was a wonderful showcase of all the hard work our students have put in throughout the year, and it was fantastic to see parents, friends, and members of our school community there to support them.

These events provide an opportunity for our students to develop their performance skills and shine on stage.

A Sunny Afternoon of Cricket

Our Year 2 to 4 students had a fantastic time participating in a South Australian Cricket Association (SACA) Cricket Clinic! The afternoon was filled with energy and excitement as the kids learned valuable cricket skills and discovered ways to get involved in cricket within their local community.

Reception Students Explore Local Sculptures

Our Reception students had an exciting morning out at the Mount Gambier Rail Lands, where they explored and investigated the sculptures!

A group highlight was the sculpture made of the original train tracks and the vibrant new mural.

This excursion was a wonderful blend of history and art that sparked curiosity and creativity in our young learners!

Science Week

On Tuesday 13 August, our creative Junior School students channelled their inner scientists by building insect habitats for their toy insects at lunch.

Using a variety of materials, they crafted the perfect homes for their tiny friends.
